Jurij Fiore is best known for the wines he has made alongside his father, Vittore, for years at the family’s Poggio Scalette property in the Greve village of Chianti Classico. A blend of Chardonnay, Trebbiano, Malvasia and Famoso from the Castelo area of Lamole. The sandy, silty hillside vineyards are 550 metres above sea level and face north. The hand-picked grapes are fermented in 228 itr pièce (Burgundy barrels) and aged in a mix of old and new 228 ltr pièce and stainless steel for 10 months before bottling.
